Roster Check-In

Pick a name. Capture a reference.

Start with a roster of names and contact information. In the Capture & Upload app, select a subject and take a reference photo. Face Matching then connects that person’s event photos to their Personal Image Gallery.

See how it works

From your roster to camera-ready.

A photographer-led reference photo connects your existing contact information to Face Matching.

Upload names and contacts

Import your roster into the Event. Existing contact details mean kids and absent parents do not need to enter information onsite.

Select and photograph

Choose Roster Check-In, select the person’s name, and take a reference photo with a tethered camera or the iOS device camera.

Match the event photos

Live-upload sellable images or add them after the event. Face Matching connects the photos and sends personal gallery links automatically.

Advantages & Things to Consider

Why use it?

  • Photographer-led check-in. Capture the reference yourself instead of asking the subject or parent to submit a selfie.
  • A strong fit for youth events. Use the school or team roster for subjects who are too young for Selfie Check-In.
  • Use the data you already have. Roster contact details reduce onsite typing, typos, and duplicate entries.

Plan your setup

  • Take the reference first. Select the correct roster name before capturing that person’s reference photo.
  • Choose how you upload. A tethered setup supports live uploads; you can also upload event images through the Dashboard later.
  • Plan for walk-ups. Keep a Selfie Check-In QR code available for attendees who are not on your roster.

More about Roster Check-In

Detailed workflow guide

A guided, photographer-led way to capture reference photos and use existing contact info. Upload a roster to your Event, select each subject in the QuicPics™ Capture & Upload app, take a quick reference photo, and let Face Matching™ do the rest—linking every appearance of that face and sending a Personal Image Gallery by text or email. Ideal when subjects are too young for Selfie Check-In™ or when parents aren’t on site.

Check-In & Capture: In the app, choose Roster Check-In mode, pick a name, and take a reference photo with a tethered camera or the iOS device camera.

Great for schools & youth sports: A roster is often more reliable than live check-ins.

Cleaner data: Uses your roster to reduce typos and duplicates.

Flexible capture: Works with tethered cameras and iOS; live or post-event uploads.

Instant delivery: As matches occur, gallery links go out within minutes.

Plan for walk-ups: Consider keeping a Selfie Check-In™ QR on-hand as a backup for anyone not on the roster.,
